Freshwater fishing is an exciting sport enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a relaxing and at the same time challenging activity that requires physical skill, knowledge of fishing techniques, and an understanding of nature's ecosystem. From 2024, we participate in the Limpopo Schools freshwater bank fishing league with two teams named: Bennies and Ben Vissers.

Our teams finished the fishing season in the respective fifth and seventh places. Dewald du Plessis finished ninth overall in Limpopo and was selected to represent Hoërskool Ben Viljoen and Limpopo during the South African Schools competition, with Jaco Bouwer selected as a reserve for the invitational team |
