Public speaking gives learners the platform to speak with confidence, a skill that will put them at the forefront of their field in the future. Participants must prepare their own speeches and may not quote published articles verbatim. From the theme, a topic must be formulated that contains a point of view and the point of view must be argued on the basis of arguments and sources. It is therefore a reasoned speech and not a oral.
Firstly, there is an internal public speaking competition which is distinguished between prepared and unprepared, junior and senior as well as home language and first additional language. The learners who go through from the internal public speaking competition takes part in the ATKV Public Speaking Competition's first round from where they then advance to the second and third rounds.
Our speakers are talkative and achieve excellent results during this competition. We have already had a number of learners who even participated in the ATKV's national competition final and achieved exceptional results.
