Chess is more than just a game; it is a platform for developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills and strategic planning. It is also a source of fun and excitement for learners of all ages.
By offering chess at Hoërskool Ben Viljoen, we create an environment where learners can develop their thinking skills while enjoying and participating in a competitive, yet satisfying activity.
Four chess players participated in the Naboomspruit SPAR chess tournament this past weekend. There were over sixty entries in their division, and we are proud of our players who achieved the following places:
Jadin Klopper achieved fourteenth place, with Dillan Britz in twenty-seventh place. Malose Mahanyele achieved thirty-first place, while Devan Britz achieved fortieth place.
